Fionnabhair

The White Hag’s take on a historic, Belgian style witbier. Brewed with 50% Wheat, Irish barley and oats, and traditional Belgian spices.

Very pale, almost white in appearance from the oats. Fruity, with noticeable spices of orange peel and fresh coriander. Crisp mouthfeel with a dry, refreshing finish.

A 400-year-old Belgian beer style that evolved as the specialty of Dutch-speaking Flemish Brabant Province east of Brussels. Allegedly the Dutch brought spices from far and wide into the Witbier equation. The style had all but disappeared by the 1950’s until a labour of love by Pierre Celis at Hoegaarden brought this refreshing botanical beer back into vogue.
